Our sock-making idea originates in Azerbaijan, our family's homeland, where sock knitting and carpet weaving are culturally significant traditional crafts. They carry cultural and symbolic meanings and are known for their intricate designs and patterns dating back centuries.
When I was a child, my grandmother knitted socks and sold them at the Eastern bazaar. I still remember how, through chilly winter days, my brother and I always had a pair of wool patterned socks filled with care and love and knitted by our grandmother.
As I grew up, my fascination with colourful socks grew. I believed that socks could add a touch of fun and personality, help people express their style in a creative and playful way, and even lift one’s mood.
Upon moving to Canada, my wife and I sought ways to bring together Eastern culture and traditions with Western bold and outgoing fashion. This is how JorabChic emerged, marrying the traditional motifs and colour schemes with the contemporary allure of bold accessories.
Join us on this exciting journey as we redefine sock fashion, one vibrant pair at a time. Tell your story to the world through vivid colours and intriguing patterns – embrace the spirit of JorabChic!
